Hello

I am an award-winning journalist, editor, and writer whose work explores the intersection of mental health, culture, identity, and social change.

My work combines rigorous reporting with narrative storytelling, and has appeared in publications including The Guardian, The Sunday Times, The i Paper, Metro, and Mslexia. I am currently Acting Editor of Happiful, an independent print and digital magazine. Across journalism, essays, and editorial collaborations, I explore the stories that shape how we live, relate, and make sense of ourselves.

I am drawn to questions of how we construct meaning, navigate relationships, and understand ourselves within wider social and cultural systems. Whether writing about mental health, gender, class, technology, or contemporary culture, I am interested in the stories people tell about themselves and the stories society tells about them.

My work has been recognised by a number of industry and literary awards. My essay on the housing crisis, published by Red Pepper in partnership with HCI Skills Gateway, was shortlisted for the Dawn Foster Memorial Prize. In 2023, I was named runner-up in The Orwell Society/NUJ Young Journalist Prize in the political column category and was selected as a PPA Next Gen Award winner. I have also won and been shortlisted for several awards for my work on the Happiful newsletter, and taken part in radio, podcast, and in-person panel interviews, most recently appearing as a guest on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

Alongside journalism and editorial work, I collaborate with authors, publishers, and organisations on long-form writing projects, including ghostwriting, editorial development, and sensitivity reading.

My current interests lie in long-form nonfiction, essays, and collaborative literary projects that bring together reporting, research, criticism, and personal narrative. I welcome conversations with publishers, agents, editors, researchers, and writers developing ambitious work in these areas.
